The Fuel Economy Label can help you choose a vehicle that uses less fuel - so you can go further on a full tank and save money. The label gives you a star rating (out of 6), a litres per 100km figure and a cost per year, so you can compare different vehicles.

By choosing a vehicle that uses less fuel you can reduce both your costs and the negative impacts on the environment while still meeting your lifestyle needs and getting you where  you need to go.

Currently in New Zealand the transport sector is responsible for 45% of our greenhouse gas emissions.
